Camping guide

RV and trailer campsite checklist

Finding an open campsite is only useful if the site fits your setup. Check the details before booking.

Check length and site type

Compare your trailer or RV length with the campsite's listed max length. Also check whether the site is tent-only, standard nonelectric, electric, or full hookup.

Confirm access and rules

Look for driveway grade, road restrictions, generator rules, pet rules, extra vehicle limits, and accessibility notes. Recreation.gov and campground pages often include details that matter once you arrive.

Watch for the right kind of opening

Crowded Camper lets campers narrow watches by campsite type and selected sites so an alert is more likely to fit the way they camp.
